Is Your Ability To See God Blinded?

If we are children of God, we have a tremendous treasure in nature and will realize that it is holy and sacred. We will see God reaching out to us in every wind that blows, every sunrise and sunset, every cloud in the sky, every flower that blooms, and every leaf that fades, if we will only begin to use our blinded thinking to visualize it.

The real test of spiritual focus is being able to bring your mind and thoughts under control. Is your mind focused on the face of an idol? Is the idol yourself? Is it your work? Is it your idea of what a servant should be, or maybe your experience of salvation and sanctification? If so, then your ability to see God is blinded. You will be powerless when faced with difficulties and will be forced to endure in darkness. If your power to see has been blinded, don’t look back on your own experiences, but look to God. It is God you need. Go beyond yourself and away from the faces of your idols and away from everything else that has been blinding your thinking. Wake up and accept the ridicule that Isaiah gave to his people, and deliberately turn your thoughts and your eyes to God.

Be Truthful

We can cover up the truth with rose petals, but eventually they will wilt, fall, and finally expose the realities of life. Sometimes good people get hurt in the process when words of falsehood are spoken. A void, a hole, an emptiness is left within the one who was lied to. Where there was once trust, now only unbelief resides. Denial seem to be the road taken by those who may be hiding something. Only tragedy greets them at their doorstep. Some times one cannot put a price tag on trust or can it ever be redeemed. A friend's heart is left trampled and broken...maybe beyond repair. Is it really worth it? So trust wilts away with each word of falsehood spoken.

But praise be to God! He is that Higher Power above all existence that can cause a broken heart to become whole again. It can once again learn how to trust, to love, to forgive, and to accept. He takes every wilted petal into His hands and transforms them into avenues of growth. In Him there is absolute truth. In Him, there is unwavering hope. Falsehood promotes falsehood and results in death. Death of a meaningful relationship? But TRUTH PROMOTES TRUTH and results in life! Life that nurtures love in every relationship that God blesses us with. May we never take each other for granted if we truly love one another.

Jesus said,

"I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life."

Be at Perfect Peace

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

Be at perfect peace, O my soul. Surrender to His Sovereignty and experience freedom from the inner storms that are stirring within. God knows how much you can take. He will rebuke the winds and the waves and silence them! Feel the wind dying down and the let His calmness over take you. Rest in His loving arms.

Psalm 32:7

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble

and surround me with songs of deliverance.

Even in the midst of troubled waters, you are to send ripples of encouragement to others around you. It's in your moments of distress and weakness that God's strength can be evident as others observe your life from afar. Let them know that He is your hiding place. Let them know that you are surrounded with His songs of deliverance. He will surround you with His ripples of love. This is your time to SHINE peace for Him!

Be rest assured that the problems and trials of this world is only temporary. There is nothing that you cannot handle when the God of the universe is holding your hand. Soon and very soon, Christ is coming back again to take us to a place where there will no longer be tears, pains, struggles, ... sin. If you cannot trace His hands, trust His heart. Though I have not seen Him, my Heart knows Him well. He is good. He is love.
